Fall 2026 Schedule
Our Mission At FBCL Is Simple.
We exist to help people faithfully follow Jesus and intentionally lead others to Jesus for the sake of the Gospel.
On August 9, 2026, we’re making some intentional shifts to better align what we do with who we’re becoming.
These changes are about aligning our weekly schedule to what we believe a faithful follower should become.
We believe discipleship is more than something you attend.
As we look ahead, we’re focusing on creating clear, intentional opportunities where every person, from kids to students to adults, can take meaningful next steps in following Jesus and are leading others to Jesus.
NEW FALL SCHEDULE - STARTING AUGUST 9, 2026
STUDENT MINISTRY
Students (6th-12th grade) will gather on Sunday nights from 5:30pm-7:30pm for large group and small group discipleship.
During Sunday morning service, middle and high school students will be encouraged to actively participate in worship and serving on Sunday mornings. We don't want students to view Sunday gatherings as adult church but as their church.
KIDS MINISTRY
Kids Ministry (birth-5th grade) will continue on Sunday mornings at 9:30am & 11:00am. Each hour will include large group teaching, worship, and small group time.
We will no longer offer Kids programming on Wednesday nights.
ADULT MINISTRY
We want to launch more off-campus small groups that meet throughout the week in homes and communities, creating space for deeper relationships and intentional discipleship.
Our existing Sunday morning and Wednesday groups are not changing.

QUESTIONS?
This is much more than a programming change. This is a shift in our culture, our philosophy of ministry, and how we approach discipleship.
For some, church health has often been measured by how many programs we offer or how full the calendar is.
But we believe that more programming isn’t always more discipleship.
We want to focus on what actually helps people faithfully follow Jesus (being known by Jesus, walking with Jesus, living in community, serving like Jesus, and sharing about Jesus).
We believe that serving is a vital part of discipleship and that students should be connected to the corporate body of believers at church.
The shift in schedule aligns with our discipleship pathway where we want to help people faithfully follow Jesus and lead others to Jesus. So we are increasing intentionality for service, worship, and groups.
Moving Student Ministry to Sunday nights allows us to better connect students to the life of the church.
Students will now have opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings, be part of corporate worship, and build relationships across generations.
They will still have a dedicated space on Sunday nights for student worship, teaching, and small groups.
We believe this combination helps students not just attend church, but belong to it.
That is a great question! And the answer is no, parents don't have to serve with their teenager on Sunday mornings.
Many parents enjoy serving alongside of their teenager to model how to lead others to Jesus.
But every student that serves in our church will be placed in an area of giftedness and where other adults are leading alongside of them. Students will always be serving with other adults who are trained and background checked.
During July the student ministry will work with our students to make them aware of service opportunities and get them connected to those areas before August 9, 2026.
This decision was not made lightly.
We deeply value kids’ discipleship, and this change is not about doing less. It’s about doing it more intentionally.
We are focusing our energy on strengthening Sunday morning environments, equipping families, and creating clear and consistent discipleship rhythms.
Because more programming isn’t always more discipleship.
We believe a more focused approach will lead to deeper, more lasting spiritual growth.
And this allows parents to be involved in small groups throughout the week. We believe the best way to disciple kids is to disciple their parents.
That’s a fair question.
At first glance, it can seem like simply moving it would solve the problem.
But adding more environments doesn’t always lead to better discipleship.
It can spread families, leaders, and energy too thin and make it harder to build consistent, meaningful relationships.
Instead of multiplying programs, we are choosing to focus our efforts, strengthen what we do best, and create space for discipleship to happen in more relational ways.
Kids will continue to experience strong, intentional discipleship on Sunday mornings through age-appropriate large-group worship, teaching, and grade-specific small groups.
Our goal is not just to teach kids the Bible, but to help them grow into lifelong followers of Jesus.
In addition to what we do on Sunday mornings, we believe that the best way to disciple a child is to disciple the parents because what happens at home can have more of an impact than what happens at church. So we will be adding more small groups for adults in the fall to disciple adults in every phase of life.
We understand that every student is different, and this can feel like a big step.
Corporate worship is something students grow into over time. It’s part of their discipleship journey.
We don’t expect perfection. We aim for growth and want to help students integrate into the life of the church. Students aren't the church of tomorrow; they are a part of the church of today.
Groups are a huge part of the discipleship journey. We believe that Scripture teaches us that we should live in community with other Jesus followers.
We are prayerfully adding more groups for adult that will happen on our campus and off campus.
No changes are happening to our Sunday morning or Wednesday evening groups. Since Wednesday evenings will no longer have kids ministry on Wednesday evenings, there will not be childcare for Wednesday groups. If your group needs assistance with childcare, please reach out to Pastor Jared and we will talk through some options. Use the "Contact Us" button below.
Yes! Enrichment studies have been a great way for our church to learn more about a theological topic or dive deeper into a book of the Bible.
Enrichment studies will happen each semester. These studies will include childcare.
We believe this shift will strengthen families.
One of our core convictions is that parents are the primary disciplers of their children.
The church’s role is to support and equip, not replace that responsibility.
That’s why we are investing more intentionally in adult discipleship through groups.
As parents grow in their faith, that impact carries directly into the home.
Our goal is to partner with families in a way that leads to deeper, more consistent discipleship.
As we step into this next season together, here are a few ways you can take a Next Step:
I’m interested in joining an off-campus group.
