Hurricane Laura Relief

Ways to Help Those Impacted by Hurricane Laura

Thousands in Texas and Louisiana have experienced devastation from Hurricane Laura.
Below is information about donating good and funds to support the relief efforts in Texas and Louisiana.

Donating Goods

A few people will drive supplies to FBC Merryville (on the line of Louisiana and Texas) to assist the church with initial assessment of the damage from Hurricane Laura. The first trip to give donations will be on Wednesday, September 9th and will return Friday, September 11th. This is not a cleanup trip - simply taking supplies to the affected area.

Interested in driving  supplies to Merryville,  Louisiana? Please contact Braxton Roberts.

Click the supply list below for physical items to be donated. At this point, most in the path of the hurricane will be without power during the entire month of September. The biggest needs are for non-perishable food, bottles of water, and 5-gallon containers of gasoline.

Drop-off times will be:
  • Sunday, September 6th during first and second service (9:30am -12:00pm). Please drop donations off in the covered walkway of the education building.
  • Tuesday, September 8th during office hours (9:00am - 3:00pm). Please drop donations off at the front desk of the education building.

*We will continue to evaluate ways to serve in the coming weeks. Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief is currently evaluating locations, needs, and opportunities to serve. We will post those as we receive information.
