Children’s Ministries at FBCL exist to partner with families to make disciples in their homes. We know that many parents want to raise children with good character, values and a heart for God, but struggle to find the time and means to do so. Because we believe in the biblical model that teaches that the home should be the primary place where a child learns about God, we want to help equip parents to make the most of everyday moments with their children.

Every Sunday kids are challenged to live out our core values by trusting God, honoring their parents and treating others the way they want to be treated.

Kidz Inc. Theatre

Kids spend half of their time on Sunday mornings in a large group environment (Kidz Inc. Theatre) where they hear the Bible story. We use costumes, props and characters from the story – anything that makes the Bible come to life. We also carve out time each week for kids to sing as loud as they want and tell God how much they love Him.

Life Groups

After Kidz inc. Worship at 9:30, kids travel to their life group room where their leaders help them understand how the day’s bottom-line can fit into their everyday life. Life group leaders are serious about having fun with kids and passionate about teaching the truth. We want kids to see how God’s Word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him and to build friendships that will last. Every Sunday they connect with the same group of kids and same leader, that way they get connected and we have the best chance to establish relationships that are going to matter when they need it most.

Everyone is called to worship. Who better to lead kids in worship than other kids? Each week we have the privilege of one of our kids leading the whole group in a worship song of their choice. Not only that, but those who participate also lead in our Worship Gathering in the Worship Center several times throughout the year. Our focus in leading worship will always be that if we lift up the name of Jesus, that He will draw people unto Himself. Our job is to sing the truth of God’s Word, be prepared, do our very best, and let God do the rest. We encourage your children to put their mind’s attention and their heart’s affection on the God who loves them. And we have a lot of fun doing it!

Wednesday Nights are all about the Bible, apologetics, and fun! We offer Bible Drill (September – April) and we also dig into God’s Word to see what it says and learn how to prove what we believe. We also have a time of recreation where the kids get a chance to play really cool games in the gym and continue to build relationships with the leaders.

We believe that kids are a parent’s most valuable possession.  Because of this, we go to great lengths to make sure when you trust us with their care, we do everything possible to keep them safe and secure.  We ask that everyone fill out one of our registration sheets.  This gives us contact information in the event of emergency.

When you first arrive, we ask that you accompany your child to the Kidz Inc. Welcome Center to sign them in.  Each of you will receive a matching numbered sticker that you will put on your child’s shirt and your own shirt.  Your child will then enter the appropriate room and will be under our supervision.  When it is time to leave, simply present the leader with your child’s matching sticker to pick up your child.

In the event that the sticker is missing, simply go to the Kidz Inc. Welcome center and someone will be stationed there to help you.  Please bring photo ID with you to speed up this process.

The story of God reveals the character of God.  That’s why we use Bible stories to teach core virtues.  And to make it easy to understand, each principle is supported by a weekly Bottom Line – a short phrase so easy to remember that it can be reinforced at home throughout the week.  In fact, when a kid transitions into middle school, we want that child to have experienced and own three basic truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52: I need to make the wise choice; I can trust God no matter what; I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

These truths are reinforced each week through use of a monthly virtue.  Why virtues?  Because they display God’s character.  And when we live them out, not only do we understand His heart more, so do the people around us.

Drop-off is always 15 minutes prior to the start time of the service.

Pick-up is no later than 15 minutes after the conclusion of the service.

We believe that what happens at home is far more important than what happens at church. That’s why we want to equip you with the resources for the home. We call them Parent CUES because they are designed to help parents reinforce stories and virtues at home. GodTime Cards are notes for Kids’ to help children establish a consistent devotional experience. You can also download a “Parent CUE” app on both Android and iPhones to help assist you more.
