As people of faith we believe it is our duty to reach the people of our community with Christ’s love, but we also know that “hungry stomachs have no ears.” We want to meet hurting people at their point of need, whether they choose to believe what we believe or not. Our goal is to identify the most pressing needs in our community and use the resources God has given us to find solutions, bring healing, and share hope. |

The Houses of the Ministry Village |
|
The Counseling
Center The first house in the ministry village is home to a counseling center offering Christ-centered counseling to individuals, couples, and groups. Each counselor will hold, at minimum, a Master’s degree in counseling. Sharing His Love, a Christian-based financial counseling group, will also have an office in the counseling center where they can provide wise fiscal counseling and common sense solutions to people struggling with their finances. The Counseling Center also houses Life Coaches for Kids, a faith-based mentoring program.
The Child Advocacy Center A Child Advocacy Center (CAC) called 'A Child’s Voice,' will be housed in the second house in the village. A Child’s Voice will be a safe place where children in our community who have been sexually abused can receive forensic testing and care. Sadly, the need is great. In 2005, approximately 100 children per month were taken from Walton County to the closest Child Advocacy Center, located over 30 miles away at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. The Child Advocacy Center will work closely with the Georgia Department of Family and Children’s Services (DFACS) as well as law enforcement professionals to determine the next step in keeping these children safe. The CAC will be housed in the counseling center until the second village house is built.
Future Additions Future additions to the LCMV include a Community Education Center offering tutoring, test preparation and computer skills classes, a Benevolence Center where people with acute needs can receive immediate assistance, and shelters for men, women and children. The needs are great and the possibilities for ministry are endless. A Ministry Village Update Click here to read about the incredible progress that has been made recently on the Ministry Village.
